About Me

I am a caring educational professional with over 30 years of regular and special education experience, in both public school settings and private school settings, as a teacher, as a tutor,  and as an LDTC / Case Manager on a Child Study Team. 

I  have also  been in private practice for over ten years, providing tutoring for SAT / ACT for students of all levels and completing Learning / Educational  Evaluations to determine a student’s level of achievement, identify strengths and weaknesses, identify best learning styles, and identify learning disabilities.

  • I have a highly individualized program that targets grammar skills, punctuation   skills, and reading strategies that will help your child, not only on the SAT or ACT but also in his or her academics / classes..  


Skilled in evaluation/assessment measures: Woodcock Johnson IV (Cognitive Assessment, Oral Language Assessment, and Achievement Assessment), Gray Oral Reading Test, Test of Reading Comprehension, Dyslexia Screening, Test of Written Language and many others..

  • A learning assessment identifies your child’s academic strengths and weaknesses and helps identify how your child learns best.
  • At the young adult  and adult levels, a comprehensive learning evaluation, including the cognitive assessment, also helps to identify  accommodations that are needed to succeed in college.
  • Expertise in learning disabilities, needs assessment, individualized education plans, 504 plans, the eligibility process, and parent advocacy.
